Steinbeck Forum

This is one of the most elegant and best equipped facilities of its kind in the nation.  The Forum features continental seating for 500 people with ample leg room between each wall-to-wall row of seats.  Each of the upholstered lounge-like seats has its own fold-up writing surface, and there are more than fifty microphone inputs spaced through the tiers to facilitate audience participation in proceedings.  A large control room at the rear of the Forum houses an extensive array of sophisticated projection, sound and lighting systems as well as controls for stage curtains and film screen.  The Forum's ultra-modern sound system boasts 800 watts of amplification and an automatic microphone processor.
